Beijing Aerospace General Hospital was established in 1958, affiliated with the First Academy of China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation. The hospital covers 49,176 square meters with a building area of 84,476 square meters and 869 open beds. It is a Grade III comprehensive hospital integrating medical treatment, teaching, research, and prevention, undertaking occupational disease prevention and health examination work for tens of thousands of employees of China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation, shouldering medical support for large-scale flight tests and medical healthcare tasks for the vast number of aerospace employees' families and about 860,000 surrounding residents. In recent years, the hospital has achieved sustained and rapid development, with 1.1 million outpatient and emergency visits in 2015, 22,000 inpatient admissions, nearly 7,000 high-level surgeries, and revenue of 968 million yuan. The hospital currently has 1,440 on-staff employees, including 201 with senior professional titles, 21 doctoral (postdoctoral) students, and 208 master's students.
