Dongzhimen Hospital, Beijing University of Chinese Medicine (First Clinical Medical College) was founded in 1958 and is affiliated with a national "211 Project," "985 Project Advantageous Discipline Innovation Platform," and "Double First-Class" construction higher traditional Chinese medicine university. Dongzhimen Hospital is a large comprehensive tertiary Grade-A traditional Chinese medicine hospital integrating medical treatment, teaching, and scientific research. It is a national traditional Chinese medicine clinical research base, a national drug clinical trial institution certified by the State Food and Drug Administration, a World Health Organization traditional Chinese medicine appropriate technology project training base, a national standardized residency training demonstration base, a national model traditional Chinese medicine hospital, and a Beijing medical insurance designated hospital. It is a national-level traditional Chinese medicine experimental teaching demonstration center and a Ministry of Education university student off-campus practice education base. The hospital currently has multiple practice locations including two districts and one department. The Dongcheng campus is located at No. 5 Haiyuncang, the Tongzhou campus at No. 116 West Cuiping Road, and the International Department at No. 279 North Dongsi Street, Dongcheng District, with 1,574 authorized beds, 40 clinical specialties, and nearly 3 million annual outpatient and emergency visits. The hospital currently has 6 national clinical key specialties, 5 regional traditional Chinese medicine diagnosis and treatment centers, 16 State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine key specialties, and 13 Beijing key specialties. One Ministry of Education key discipline, 9 State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine key disciplines, and 2 Beijing key disciplines. Seventeen national famous senior traditional Chinese medicine expert inheritance studios, 18 Beijing Traditional Chinese Medicine "Spark Inheritance 3+3 Project" "two studios and one station," and 1 Ministry of Education innovation team. The hospital has deep accumulation, gathers famous experts, and produces outstanding talents.
