Guangdong Hydropower Second Bureau Hospital was founded in 1958. It is a state-owned public hospital under the Provincial State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission, a campus of Jinan University Affiliated First Hospital, a technically supported hospital of Sun Yat-sen University Affiliated First Hospital, and the largest local Grade II comprehensive hospital integrating clinical practice, medical treatment, research, teaching, prevention, healthcare, and rehabilitation, serving as the medical, emergency, prevention, and healthcare center for southern Zengcheng. The hospital is located in Xintang Town, a major commercial town in Guangdong Province, adjacent to Guangzhou City. The town is the future eastern Pearl River Delta intercity transportation hub and BRT center, with multiple railways, highways, and expressways passing through, offering convenient transportation, pleasant environment, a population exceeding one million, and facing enormous development opportunities. The hospital's business premises area reaches over 30,000 square meters. The hospital has 360 beds (will increase to 600-800 beds due to business expansion), annual inpatient admissions of over 11,000, and annual outpatient visits of 410,000.
