Guangzhou Dongsheng Hospital is a renowned brand comprehensive hospital with over one hundred years of history, famous in Guangdong Province, Hong Kong, Macao, and Southeast Asia for its expertise in treating skin diseases, ulcers, and other difficult miscellaneous diseases, massage rehabilitation, and integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine. The hospital was established in 1903, formerly the famous Huixing Charity Hospital in Guangzhou, pioneering ulcer specialty in Guangzhou, meticulously preparing ointments, elixirs, pills, and powders for external and internal use with remarkable therapeutic effects and widespread reputation. In those years, countless neighbors, laborers, and poor people suffering from diseases without money for treatment were cured through its free medical treatment and medicine. In 1969, it moved from Tiancheng Road Yangong Street to Jiefang Middle Road, and in 1995, due to municipal construction needs, moved to its current location at No. 375 Renmin Middle Road, Guangzhou. Through changing times, the century-old Dongsheng has developed to today, far surpassing the former Huixing Charity Hospital. The hospital's other brand, the massage department, has over 40 years of history, being Guangzhou's pioneering blind massage department and Guangzhou's only blind manual massage facility, also serving as an important training and internship base for provincial and municipal blind massage talents.
