The predecessor of Guangzhou Medical University Stomatological Hospital was the Guangzhou Hospital of Guangzhou Railway Group Yangcheng Railway Corporation, established at No. 31, 39, and 59 Huangsha Avenue, Guangzhou. In October 2004, it was transferred in its entirety to Guangzhou Medical University and has become Guangzhou's first municipal stomatological specialty hospital integrating medical treatment, teaching, research, prevention, and healthcare. It is a designated hospital under Guangzhou's basic medical insurance and Guangzhou Railway Group's employee basic medical insurance. The hospital features comprehensive functions, reasonable layout, elegant and warm environment, fully embodying humanistic care. It possesses advanced dental comprehensive treatment equipment from Germany, Japan, the United States, and other countries, along with various advanced dental diagnostic and treatment equipment to meet all work needs. The inpatient ward has 50 beds and can perform various oral surgery procedures. The hospital maintains strict sterilization measures and standardized management, fully implementing international standard four-handed operation, adopting "one person, one machine" and using disposable oral packages to completely eliminate possible cross-infection during oral treatment, ensuring patient safety, comfort, and peace of mind. The hospital has clinical departments including oral medicine (endodontics, periodontics, oral mucosa, pediatric dentistry), oral and maxillofacial surgery, prosthodontics, orthodontics, dental implantology, preventive dentistry, teeth cleaning center, and special dental clinic. Among these, oral and maxillofacial surgery, prosthodontics, and orthodontics are the hospital's key disciplines, particularly achieving high accomplishments in salivary gland tumors, cleft lip and palate sequential treatment, jaw tumor resection with immediate reconstruction, comprehensive diagnosis and treatment of oral cancer, and internal fixation of jaw fractures, reaching advanced provincial levels. It is also one of the earliest domestic units to perform surgical correction of snoring and oral appliance treatment. The hospital possesses a high-quality dental professional talent team with intermediate and senior professional titles and master's degrees or above. After being transferred to Guangzhou Medical University, the hospital undertakes clinical teaching tasks for graduate and undergraduate students of the Stomatology Department.
