Panyu District People's Hospital was founded in 1929 with over 70 years of history. It has developed into a modern comprehensive hospital with complete disciplines, advanced equipment, and strong technical capabilities, integrating medical treatment, prevention, teaching, research, healthcare, and rehabilitation. It serves as the guidance center for emergency and critical disease treatment and medical technology for the district's 1.6 million residents. The hospital has 776 beds with 15 first-level clinical departments. Cardiovascular medicine and oncology hematology are key specialties established by Panyu District Health Bureau. The hospital is located in the central urban area of Shiqiao, Panyu District, next to the scenic Xinghai Park. It was rated as a Grade II Class A hospital by Guangdong Provincial Health Department in 1994 and as a National Baby-Friendly Hospital by the Ministry of Health in 1995. The hospital has 873 staff members, including 83 senior professionals and 219 intermediate professionals, with 4 doctoral students and 39 master's students.
