Peking University School and Hospital of Stomatology was founded in 1941, serving as a large-scale stomatological hospital, school of stomatology, and stomatological research institution integrating medical treatment, teaching, scientific research, prevention, and healthcare with comprehensive development. In the 2018 "QS World University Subject Rankings," it ranked 15th in stomatology worldwide and first in mainland China. As a tertiary Grade-A stomatological specialty hospital under the National Health Commission, the hospital's stomatological specialty medical service scale ranks first worldwide. Currently possessing 632 treatment chairs, 157 open beds, 15 clinical departments, 8 medical technology departments, complete functional departments, 5 subordinate branch medical institutions, and over 2,500 staff members. In 2018, it served 1.6447 million outpatient and emergency visits, with daily average outpatient and emergency volume of 5,500 visits and over 7,500 annual inpatient admissions. It has won all eight "National Clinical Key Specialty" construction projects in the stomatology category. In 2017, entrusted by the National Health Commission, it established the "National Stomatology Professional Medical Quality Management and Control Center," leading national stomatology quality control work. Since 2010, it has ranked first in the stomatology specialty reputation ranking of the Fudan version of China's Hospital Specialty Reputation Rankings for nine consecutive years.
