infoAbout

Zhujiajiao People's Hospital is located at No. 117 Xinfeng Road in the center of Zhujiajiao Town, a famous scenic tourist area in Shanghai, adjacent to Shanghai's largest five-arch bridge and Meizhou Lane tourist commodity street, with an excellent geographical location. The hospital has been established for fifty years and is a comprehensive district-level hospital, serving as the medical, scientific research, and teaching center for the western Qingpu area, with basically complete clinical and technical departments and an increasingly improved echelon structure. The hospital was founded in 1949, originally named "Qingpu County People's Government People's Hospital," and changed to its current name in 1969. After more than half a century of hard work, it has become a comprehensive Grade II-B hospital integrating medical treatment, teaching, and scientific research in the western Qingpu area, located at No. 167 Xinfeng Road, Zhujiajiao Town, Qingpu District, Shanghai, covering 18.99 acres with 16,370 square meters of business premises. Currently, there are 262 staff members, including 85 intermediate and senior medical personnel, with 8 associate chief physicians, 30 attending physicians, and 37 physicians; 22 supervising nurses and 60 nurses. The hospital has 200 authorized beds and 7 wards. The hospital has strong technical capabilities and can handle Grade II hospital business projects, with some projects reaching the level of general departments in tertiary hospitals. Particularly distinctive services include: comprehensive treatment of advanced schistosomiasis liver cirrhosis; esophageal and gastric fundus variceal disconnection surgery (portal-azygos vein disconnection); hepatic lobectomy; artificial femoral head replacement; microscopic eye surgery; artificial lens eye surgery; subtotal hysterectomy; radical vulvar cancer surgery; anterior and posterior vaginal wall repair for vesicovaginal fistula; vaginal hematoma incision and suture of the large fornix; vaginal hysterectomy. The second name "Qingpu District Geriatric Hospital": As the urban population aging degree continues to increase, to meet medical market demands, with the care and support of Shanghai Municipal and District Health Bureaus, District Government, and all sectors of society, in October 2000, the Shanghai Municipal Health Bureau approved Zhujiajiao People's Hospital to use the second name "Qingpu District Geriatric Hospital." The geriatric hospital has three wards with 100 beds. The wards are designed according to different elderly needs, with rooms of different specifications for 2 or 6 people. All rooms are elegantly decorated, each elderly person has a large wardrobe, each room has air conditioning, and there are activity rooms, bathing rooms, and fitness rooms. The hospital provides 24-hour excellent medical services and life care for elderly patients. Since the hospital is located in Shanghai's famous scenic tourist area - Zhujiajiao Ancient Town, adjacent to Shanghai's largest five-arch ancient bridge "Fangsheng Bridge" and the tourist commodity street, the geographical location is excellent: looking out from the spacious and bright windows of the ward, the beautiful scenery of Zhujiajiao is clearly visible, making it an ideal place for elderly recuperation. At the same time, when children and family members visit the elderly, they can conveniently tour and view scenic spots, truly achieving two goals at once.
