Shenzhen Longgang Central Hospital (Shenzhen Ninth People's Hospital) was founded in 1952. The hospital is located at the northern end of Longgang Interchange in Longgang District, covering an area of approximately 100,000 square meters. It is the emergency, medical, teaching, research, rehabilitation and healthcare center of Longgang District. In May 2005, it was named Shenzhen Ninth People's Hospital by the municipal government and is the largest comprehensive hospital in eastern Shenzhen. Hospital scale: Currently, the hospital has 515 approved beds and 650 actual open beds. It is expected that outpatient and emergency visits will reach 1.2 million in 2007, with approximately 22,000 annual inpatients. The hospital has a total staff of 1,617, including 56 chief physicians and professors, 167 associate chief physicians and associate professors, 3 Shenzhen famous doctors, 6 doctors, 19 master's supervisors, and 66 masters.
