Shenzhen Sami International Medical Center is a municipal public hospital integrating medical treatment, scientific research, teaching, prevention, healthcare, and rehabilitation, built according to tertiary comprehensive hospital standards, directly under the Shenzhen Municipal Health Commission, and is a child-friendly hospital in Shenzhen. In 2020, it was awarded the title of 'Shenzhen Advanced Collective in Fighting COVID-19 Epidemic.' In the 2021 China Hospital Construction Award selection, it was rated as the 'Fourth China's Most Beautiful Hospital.' The hospital is located at No. 1 Jinniu West Road, Pingshan District, Shenzhen, covering an area of 68,000 square meters with a first-phase building area of 137,000 square meters. The hospital has a beautiful environment with a sky garden full of birds and flowers above and a lively fish pond with rippling blue waves below. The hospital is operated by a team jointly formed by the Shenzhen Municipal Health Commission and Professor Majid Samii, Lifetime Honorary President of the World Federation of Neurosurgical Societies (WFNS). Professor Majid Samii is an internationally renowned neurosurgery expert, director of the International Neuroscience Institute (INI) in Hannover, Germany, and enjoys high prestige in the world neurosurgical community. He is also an honorary citizen of Shenzhen. The hospital has become the first Sino-foreign cooperatively operated municipal public hospital in China, with experienced foreign hospital administrators serving as dean and foreign doctors and employees.
