Ganquan Hospital, established in 1991, carries the century-old Tongji medical brand. At the beginning of the new millennium in 2000, it merged into Tongji University and was renamed Tongji University Affiliated Tongji Hospital. The name "Tongji Hospital" was once again established in Shanghai, carrying the responsibility and mission of Tongji University to revitalize Tongji medical science, beginning a brand new journey. In 2010, Tongji Hospital was transferred to the Shanghai local government, affiliated with the Shanghai Shenkang Hospital Development Center, and jointly managed by Tongji University and Shanghai Shenkang Hospital Development Center. Today, Tongji University Affiliated Tongji Hospital, carrying Tongji's century-old medical dream, has witnessed the repeated awakening of the Tongji spirit.
