Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences Plastic Surgery Hospital (Bada Chu Plastic Surgery Hospital) was founded in 1957 by the team led by China's plastic surgery pioneer Song Ruyao. It is the first plastic surgery specialty hospital established after the founding of New China. Its predecessor was the Peace Hospital of the General Logistics Department of the Chinese People's Liberation Army, located at No. 39 Dongjiaomin Lane, Beijing. It is a tertiary Grade A specialty hospital integrating medical treatment, teaching, and research. The hospital has departments for general plastic surgery, modern cosmetic surgery, and over twenty specialty centers.
